30 minute meal

Cooking has changed so much during this past century I should say. No more are women slogging over the stove throughout the day in the kitchen. I can even say many traditional foods ar enot being cooked anymore. Or maybe not as frequently. I can never stand for too long in the kitchen. So I have deviced techniques to cook as quickly as I can. For the most part I will not take more than 30 minutes cooking start to finish. Lets say I am cooking rasam, then I setup many items into the cookerand while that is going I just keep cutting vegetables. So while I wind up my rasam I have my veggies and rice done. Now one might ask why rasam. That being a very hot favorite in my house. Now rarely do I have to do sambhar and such. Lets say I am doing rotis. I would have already soaked my dhals so while I am making hot chappatis my dhal will be getting ready too.
So I always wonder has cooking methods changed , cooking times changed or is it just me??
